As you begin to build up your longer-term supplies of food water and other equipment it becomes important that you have a way to use these supplies as part of your daily life. There several reasons for this.

Many long-term foods such as wheat and give you a lot of stomach problems if you were suddenly forced on a diet of only those long-term foods. Your body needs time to eat used to processing in digesting those types of foods. You want to be all to use them regularly so that if an emergency does happen, your body is prepared.

You also don’t want to be stuck or forced into a longer-term emergency or crisis situation for your family and not know how to use the food that you have on hand. Most foods store well over a long time need special preparation before they’re ready to eat.

In addition to food, you also have your water and other supplies that you need to ensure are still good and usable if you ever need them.

It’s important to have a plan in place so that you can use and replace your food and supplies on a regular basis to make sure that everything is in a good usable condition and doesn’t expire before you have a chance to use them.
