Earthquake Survival
The subject of earthquake preparedness always reminds me of a song my stepdad used to sing — “Joshua fit the battle of Jericho and the walls came tumblin’ down.” When I was younger, the song and image of tumbling down walls seemed novel and almost fun. Now, living right on the fault line that runs through Vancouver Island, the image makes me break out in icy sweat.
